Class Orthopedic Presentation

My class was assigned a specific orthopedic complication and had to present the slides to the class so we can all become familiar with a daily job description of an orthopedic specialist. We learned about hip dysplasia, erbs palsy, rheumatoid arthritis, and more. I learned about hip dysplasia and how it can either be attained through genetics or just complications through birth. A lot of the complications are genetically passed on like the palsy and arthritis. Club foot is an example of a complication that is a birth defect as the foot is raised at the heel and turned inward. Throughout the presentations, we learned about joints, tendons, ligaments, and bones.
