Dr. Stacy Upshaw and presentation on viral terminology.

Dr. Stacy Upshaw came to our class on november 16, 2021 to talk to us about Viruses, vaccinations, and terminology commonly used very frequently throughout the pandemic. She asked the class about historical and recent viruses and bacterias that have spread and which one have vaccinations. It is super interesting that many on the board have almost been erased from the lists of common sicknesses. We learned terminology like prevention, viral load, fomites, pathogens, and virulence. She spoke very patiently on covid as changed her life an an ER nurse and what we can do to help the situation.
