Mental Health Counselor- Bob Will

Bob Will, a mental health counselor and member of the board for 15 years, came to St. Luke's to teach about mental health. The definition of mental illness is a condition that changes a person's thinking, feeling, and behavior. We learned that the most common form form of mental illness is depression. The stats being one in every four people with mental illness. Depression is a raising problem with adults, children, teenagers, and any other groups and ages. Conditions and symptoms of depression among the ages are losing sense of hope in life and suicidal thoughts. These symptoms also fall under major depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and obsessive compulsive disorder. More warning signs that you or a loved one may have are personality changes, inability to cope, prolonged depression, marked changes in eating, talking about suicide, and extreme mood swings. Any doctor of any degree can diagnose patients with certain signs. Schizophrenia is treatable but still no cure found. Medications (non or mind hallucinations) and finding the cause for the virus may be the only treatment. Many officials are able to determine the causes for the fantasies. To pursue a future in mental health, a person must have compassion for people to work. The job may be very heavy on your own mental health so keeping a light mindset and finding relaxing and enjoyable hobbies is the only way to live.
