We finally presented our infographics and below are what I have learned from my classmates presentation:

Devan presented an infographic for Meningococcal C, which is used for ages 11-12. Symptoms range from fever, headaches, stiff neck, nausea, photophobia, and alterd mental status. You are most likely to get it from college freshman in dorms, US military recruits, damaged spleen, compromised immune system, and laboratory personnel exposed to the bacteria. 1 in 10 people in the US get it and 5-10% of people die from it. Lexi presented the Hepatitis B vaccination when symptoms range from abdominal pain, dark urine, nausea/vomiting. It spreads through sexual contact and needles. Complications include liver scarring and blood vessel inflammation. Jarnae presented the Diphtheria Tetanus Pertussis Vaccine where there is a 5 part series with booster that fights against whooping cough, tetanus, etc. Lockjaw is a symptom of tetanus that is seen. Two month y/o to 6 y/o are in the vaccination section. Charlie Anne presented the MMR vaccination. Measels and Rubella are viral infections with flu symptoms with rashes. Measles include inflamed eyes and more. Mumps enlarge glands in your throat where you cannot swallow. 90.8% of people are vaccinated. Alex presented the Pneumococcal vaccine where PCV13 fights off pneumonia, meningitis sinusitis and PCV20 fights against blood and middle ear infections. Kennedy presented the flu where I learned severe cases can lead to death. There is no such thing as the stomach flu, but someone can have gastric symptoms with the flu. Gracie presented the Poliovirus where you may develop paraysis. IPV is the only vaccination to give out for the vaccination in the US since 2000. Lastly, Joslyn presented the Rotavirus vaccine which is a

Double stranded RNA virus. Vaccination is dropped in kids mouth. Unvaccinated children and adults that care for unvaccinated kids are most affected.
